Wazhma Abdulrahimzay

Ms. Abdulrahimzay is a Human Rights Program Officer at the Open Society Afghanistan (OSA) and expert on human rights in particular Women and Children Rights. Previously she was leading Women and Children Legal Research Foundation and now she oversees grants supporting; Women access to justice, elimination of sexual harassment against women and women political participation.  She participates in numerous Afghan coalitions and movements on the role of women in peace and reconciliation, Elimination Violence against Women law approving and implementation process, Afghan civil Society Working group for the Bonn and Tokyo conference and was one of facilitator in Tokyo Mutual Accountability Framework (TMAF) Senior Official Meeting in Kabul and Female representative in steering Committee of that from Civil Society. Moreover leading and facilitating  Conflict-Related Detention Working group (DWG) Transitional Justice Coordination Group(TJCG) and member of Women Political Participation Committee(WPPC). She is also core member of Women Regional Network recently. She has worked as Management and leadership trainer for Afghanistan Independent Reform Civil Service Commission and as well as peace building trainer for girl’s dormitory of Kabul University.  She also participated in number of International conferences relevant to human rights.
